Intertherm electric baseboard heatersbad thermostat

Intertherm Electric Baseboard Heaters/Bad thermostat

I have several old Intertherm electric baseboard heaters. I know thecompany was bought out, but I don't know by who. My problem is I have a defective thermostat, a Therm O Disc 58t. Therm O Disc does not sell to the public, says to go the OEM. I have searched everywhere online and cannot find anyone selling the part. I had bought a Honeywell thermostat for electric baseboard heaters but it will not fit. The thermodisc model is small. Very frustrated. Anyone have any ideas? You might try a Cadet thermostat. Some places on the internet parts sales list both names on the heaters. Nordyne made Intertherm. I have several old Intertherm electric baseboard heaters. I know thecompany was bought out, but I don't know by who. Cadet bought the Intertherm line, you might try contacting them to see if parts and thermostats are still available for the old Intertherm heaters. In the mid 1990s, the innovative baseboard line Softheat baseboard product was sold to Cadet Manufacturing, an established producer of electric heating products. The product was best sold through the retail market since it did not require the expertise of a licensed HVAC contractor. NORDYNE - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I'll give Cadet a shot...thanks
