Your quartz watch battery needs to be replaced when the second hand starts to move in two second increments.
The Esquire Swiss Octane range is the most affordable range of Movado watches. The battery powered quartz watches are manufactured in Switzerland and feature both analogue and digital time displays. The stainless steel case is complimented by the ABS composite rubber strap. The watch comes with a two year factory warranty. During the warranty period, take your watch to a registered dealer for battery changes. After the warranty has expired, you can change the battery yourself by following a few easy steps.
Instructions
1. Lay the ESQ Swiss Octane watch face down on the soft cloth. This will prevent the face from getting scratched. Open the back of the watch. If the watch has two small grooves along the sides, simply slide the flathead screwdriver into one of the grooves. Apply upward pressure to pop off the back. If there are small screws in the back, use the watch case wrench to undo the screws.
2. Use the flathead screwdriver to slide the battery out from under the battery clip. Take care not to damage the other components of the watch when doing so. Take note of the orientation of the battery so that you can place the new battery in the same way the old one was situated.
3. Reset the circuit. Watches with digital displays need to have their circuit reset when the battery is replaced. Put one arm of the tweezers against the positive (+) terminal on the battery and the other on the silver or gold colored dot in the mechanism which is marked AC.
4. Use the tweezers to place the new battery under the battery clip. Avoid touching the battery with your fingers as the salt and oil from your hands can cause corrosion. Make sure that all dust and dirt are removed from the mechanism and replace the watch back. If your watch back pops off, simply apply pressure until it clicks back into place. If your watch back has screws, use the wrench to replace the screws.
