Guardian alarm

Guardian Alarm

My location: Kent County - Delaware Panel: SA168CGP3 I have a Guardian alarm system that was installed when the previous owner lived here. The keypad says d1 upon boot up and after a few seconds says CS. I'm hoping this panel isn't screwed up. Is there anyone that might be able to help me with getting this thing back to the point where I can put in my own installer code or even see the existing one? If not, I'm hoping to even get in to change the master code. Well right now it looks like the keypad actually just beeping in alarm. I haven't waited too long for it to stop but I'll post this now anyway. I've read quite a few things online and havent come across anything too helpful. Is anyone here that can help? Only post in this site I've seen so far was Installer Code for Guardian Alarm? Guardian is an installer franchise that pays various alarm manufacturers to put their logo on the keypads and system enclosure. That part number you cited is the part number of the plastic shell on the keypad. That said: From the description, you have some version of an ademco panel. Find the metal box with the battery and motherboard. 99% of the time, there is a diagram on the inside of the door that has the actual system model. We need to know that before we can provide you with any useful help. Edit: I'll check on that real quick That panel number was printed on the circuit board. The can actually says FA168C-GP on the interior door. Is this not like a Vista20p? After a reboot the keypad flashes the following: Ad (then) 17 (then) 00 (and cycles those again) (and back to) d1 (sits for about a minute) CS (and then it beeps until I hit a button but still flashes CS) It's mostly equavalent to a Vista 20p. First alerts are the ones that actually have real differences from the Vista base models (the keypads, aren't interchangeable between Vista and FA, if I recall). The sequence you had show on the display tells me that you have the equivalent of a 6150RF keypad. So it's your wireless receiver as well as the keypad. You cannot make changes to zones with that keypad but it should work for basic programming adjustments. I'm _pretty sure_ that on a FA CS is the same as FC on a Vista. Read the forum sticky titled Alarm Forum FAQ (Please read before posting). It will give you the basic steps to jump into programming and delete the phone numbers and extract the installer code. There is a even chance that the FA installer may have locked out local programming access, altogether.
