Make-Up Art Cosmetics, better known as MAC Cosmetics, is a well respected cosmetics manufacturer. Their retail locations can be found in local malls throughout the country and in stores such as Nordstrom, Macy's, and Bloomingdales. For many aspiring make-up artists, having an opportunity to work at MAC Cosmetics can provide a nice pay and training program. Here are some steps to help you get a job at MAC Cosmetics.
Instructions
1. Visit the MAC Cosmetics website (the link is in the resource section below). Enter a zip code or city in the Search the site bar at the bottom left. This will show you the closest stand alone locations as well as the MAC locations inside department or specialty stores.
2. Visit the department or specialty store that sells MAC Cosmetics in your area. Ask to speak with the human resources director of the store and indicate your preference to work at the MAC counter (if he/she is not available, leave a resume with the manager). While speaking to the HR director, be energetic, show your personality, and clearly communicate your desire to join their team.
3. Visit your local MAC store (these are the stand alone stores that are available in some areas) and speak directly with the store manager. Again, show up dressed to impress with a professional resume in hand and communicate your desire to work at the store.
4. Visit the MAC Cosmetics website if you are a professional make up artist and would like to get a job as a senior artist or to join the MAC Pro Team. Select the Site Map link at the bottom of the homepage. Next, select Employment under the customer service heading. On the right side of the page will be a contact name and address for you to send a cover letter and resume to. Follow the same step to look for a corporate office or field position.
5. Follow up with anyone you interviewed with and/or submitted your resume to. If you meet the qualifications and have a great personality, you should soon find yourself with a job at MAC Cosmetics!

It's not what you know it's who you know! This can apply for getting a job at MAC Cosmetics. If you know anyone that works or has friends/family that work at a MAC location, ask them to refer you to their manager or HR director.
