2. Be consistent. Do not simply create a welcome heading followed by bland information. The purpose of a welcome announcement is to convey the overall receptiveness of your church, so avoid including things such as schedules or other informative content. Your opening may say something like thank you for visiting our church or we promise to make this a memorable spiritual visit. This conveys appreciation for your guests' time and confidence that they will enjoy themselves.
3. Invite people to explore. Tell them that every resource or activity is open to them. Include something like want to get involved? or feel free to check out our many events and activities or don't hesitate to ask our pastor [or priest] about our many wonderful events and activities. Each of these phrases invites people to participate without directly ordering them to do so. Want, feel free and don't hesitate imply that involvement is optional, which prevents pressure.
4. Create a friendly closing statement. Wish your visitors well with statements like may this be a blessed, spiritual time for you and your family or we hope to see you again!
5. Use illustrations and an eye-pleasing font. Visual presentation impacts the reader, so do not simply include plain black text or a printed picture of your church. Instead, include a picture that depicts openness, such as people shaking hands, smiling or waving.
