Set Up Efax

The eFax website provides an eFax Messenger application that makes it easy to fax from anywhere by using your computer instead of a fax machine. You can send fax-based documents in digital formats, like using email. In order to set up an eFax account, you must download the eFax Messenger and create a fax number and PIN for signing into your account. The messenger will be synced with your primary email account, and you will be able to send a fax when you create a new email.


Instructions


1. Go to the eFax download page and click on the Download Messenger for Windows option (see Resources).


2. Click the Save button from the dialog box that appears. Select the Desktop option as the location to save your installation file and click the OK button.


3. Allow the download to complete, then click on the Close button to exit the dialog box.


4. Locate the msgrplus.exe file on your desktop and double-click on the file. The eFax Messenger Setup window will appear on your screen.


5. Click the Next button after reading the eFax License Agreement, then click on the Recommended option. Complete the prompts on the screen, including entering your personal information and selecting where you want to store the messenger on your computer.


6. Enter you eFax Number and PIN you created into the appropriate fields. Click the OK button, and eFax will be set up on your computer.
