Make A Gourmet Sandwich

This recipe is for a phenomenal, gourmet, healthy, toasted sandwich. Please follow directions precisely for best results.


Instructions


1. Slice two pieces of sourdough bread and spread the dijon mustard onto one side of each piece. If you must, feel free to insert mayonnaise onto one side. Beware that this addition makes the sandwich less healthy.


2. Evenly disperse the turkey meat throughout one side of the bread. If you are wondering about the amount, add more. Place two slices of provolone cheese over the turkey.


3. Slice approx. 1/8 (or less) of a red onion into thin pieces and distribute over the cheese. It's important to keep the onion slices very thin so that they don't overwhelm the sandwich.


4. Place sandwich (both pieces of bread) into the toaster oven and set on toast for 1-2 minutes (or until cheese is melted and bread is lightly toasted).


5. While sandwich is toasting, slice 1/2 tomato (also thin slices) and 1/4 avocado.


6. Remove sandwich from toaster oven and place tomato and avocado slices on top of the cheese.


7. Finish the sandwich by spreading your desired amount of fresh salsa over the tomato and avocado and place the second slice of bread on top.


8. Cut the masterpiece in half and enjoy!
