Olive Garden Recipe For Chicken Marsala

You might have had the chicken Marsala at the Olive Garden and enjoyed it enough to want to try your hand at making it at home. Thanks to the Olive Garden chefs, you can do just that. They have made many of their signature recipes available on their website. The following is inspired by the Olive Garden's recipe database. Making this version of chicken Marsala might taste complicated, but it is as easy to make as Shake-and-Bake. This recipe makes 4 servings.

Instructions

1. Add the flour, salt, pepper and oregano in the gallon-sized zip-top plastic bag. Shake them together.

2. Add a flattened chicken breasts to the flour mixture in the plastic bag. Seat the bag and shake to lightly coat the chicken. Remove the chicken breast to a plate, shaking off excess flour. Repeat with the other pieces of chicken. Discard the left over flour.

3. Heat both the butter and olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Once the pan is hot, add all 4 chicken breasts and cook for 2 minutes on one side until they are lightly browned.

4. Flip the chicken onto the back and stir in the mushrooms. Continue to cook the chicken and stir the mushrooms for another 2 minutes until the back is lightly browned.

5. Pour the Marsala wine into the skillet, and cover. Simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to form.

6. Transfer the chicken, mushrooms, and sauce made by the wine to a serving dish and serve with your favorite Italian bread and wine.
