Make Kool Aid Wine

Kool Aid makes a great homemade wine base as it contains the right balance of citric acid that mixes with sugar to produce a nice fermentation. Kool Aid is also inexpensive and easy to get. Making wine from Kool Aid requires no special equipment and very little fermenting time, so the wine is ready to drink in about a week.

Instructions

1. Sterilize all your equipment.

2. Boil the water.

3. Add sugar and Kool Aid.

4. Boil the Kool Aid wine mixture for 30 minutes.

5. Cool the Kool Aid wine mixture to below 80 degrees.

6. Boil more water in a separate pot.

7. Cool the additional water to below 80 degrees.

8. Pour the Kool Aid wine mixture into the fermenting container.

9. Add the additional water and Turbo Yeast to the Kool Aid wine mixture in the fermenting container. Fix an airlock on the fermenting container. This allows air to circulate during the fermenting process but keeps out dust and dirt.

10. Ferment the Kool Aid wine for five to seven days.

11. Rack the Kool Aid wine by transferring it to another container using a funnel.

12. Add Turbo Klar 24 Clearing Agent. Cap or close off the racking container so that it is air tight. Screw caps work just fine. Wait 24 hours before enjoying your newly fermented Kool Aid wine.
