Make An Edible Fruit Bouquet

Make an Edible Fruit Bouquet!

Edible fruit bouquet's are an excellent gift and great alternative to traditional flowers or chocolates. This healthy and tasty treat can be an appropriate gift for many occasions from birthday's to anniversary's, Mother's day or Father's Day!

Instructions

1. Choose the fruits you would like to use, wash everything thoroughly. Ball the melon, cut oranges or apples, cut the stems off of berries (or leave them on - your preference). Slice or cut the fruit any way you like. Get creative by building flowers, cutting out stars, or stacking pyramids.

2. Dipping chocolate can be found in the baking aisle of the grocery store. It is usually found in blocks that are easily microwave able in about a minute. Dip various fruits in chocolate. It is nice to leave some fresh and some dipped. Dip the fruit, then place on wax paper. Place the dipped fruit in the fridge to set the chocolate.

3. Set the head of lettuce or other anchor inside the basket. Begin arranging the fruit onto skewers or straws (straws will not work with all fruit, and if you must use them, trying the red stirring variety). Arrange the fruit within the basket. Cut the skewers or straws to varying lengths in order to arrange in layers.

4. Once the basket is arranged, use cellophane or saran wrap to cover the basket. Decorate with bows or ribbons and add a card for a nice touch.

5. Deliver the basket within the next 4-6 hours while it is fresh! Advise the recipient to refrigerate it until it is all gone.
