Recipe To Use For Seafood Fondue

Serve seafood fondue for a delicious meal with friends.

Gather family and friends around a fondue pot for a delicious and entertaining meal. The intimacy of dipping delicious morsels into a communal fondue pot can be an interesting way to enjoy a special meal. Although French bread and cheese fondue may be common fondue fare, try seafood fondue as well. Select tasty different seafood pieces for dipping into a savory fondue sauce. Once you try seafood fondue, it may become a family favorite.

Instructions

1. Mix the chicken broth, chardonnay, water and vegetables in the saucepan. Bring the ingredients to a low boil and then reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook the fondue sauce for approximately 30 minutes and then remove the pan from the heat.

2. Pour the sauce through the strainer into the fondue pot to remove the chunky vegetables and leave a smooth sauce for dipping.

3. Prepare the seafood for dipping. Remove the shells and veins from the shrimp. Cube the sole and lobster into bite-size pieces. Halve the scallops. Place the seafood onto a platter, grouping each variety together.

4. Warm the sauce in the fondue pot and place it in the middle of the table. Provide a fondue fork and plate for each guest. Encourage the guests to help themselves to the seafood, placing the desired pieces onto the individual plates.

5. Dip the seafood into the sauce in the fondue pot. Dangle the seafood in the sauce long enough to warm the seafood and then remove it and enjoy.
