Make Apple Cider Glazed Baby Back Ribs

Create delicious apple cider glazed baby back ribs at your next barbecue or outdoor event.

Experienced chefs find that the combined flavors of apple and pork marry together wonderfully in a variety of dishes. When experimenting with these flavors, you can brine pork tenderloin in a combination of sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt, water and apple slices. Alternatively, you can create a wonderful maple and apple cider glaze for baby back ribs. This particular recipe involves the creation of a delicious glaze for baby back ribs in a few easy steps.

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Whisk together 1/3 cup of maple syrup, 1/4 cup of apple cider, 1 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar, 2 tbsp. of apple sauce, 1 tbsp. of raspberry preserves, 1/2 tsp. of crushed red pepper, 1/4 tsp. of salt and 1/4 tsp. of black pepper.

3. Taste the glaze and adjust the flavors as necessary. There should be a balance between the sweet and the spicy. If the glaze is too thick, add additional apple cider or apple cider vinegar to dilute it.

4. Place the ribs bone side down on a roasting pan. Bake the ribs for 40 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

5. Take the ribs out of the oven and brush both sides of the meat with the glaze. Place the ribs back in the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes have elapsed, take the ribs out of the oven and glaze the slabs again. Let the ribs bake for another 15 minutes.

6. Remove the slabs from the oven using oven mitts and transfer the ribs to a serving platter. Allow the ribs to rest for 10 minutes.

7. Slice the rack into individual ribs and brush with the remaining glaze. This will allow the flavors to completely coat the meat. Serve immediately.
