Make A Meal With Ramen Noodles

If you want to stock your pantry with a versatile food, buy several boxes of ramen noodles. You can use these noodles in stir-fries, as side dishes or as the foundation of a main entree with vegetables, meat or fish.

Instructions

1. Add vegetables to the ramen. Green onions, spinach, bok choy, snow peas, asparagus, broccoli, brussels sprouts, mushrooms and cabbage are good choices. Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces and saute them in a olive oil. Add the water and your favorite seasonings. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer until the vegetables are tender.

2. Include protein your meal. Beat an egg lightly with a fork and add it to the simmering water just after the vegetables are cooked, but before you add the noodles. Or add tofu in place of the egg. Drain and cube the firm tofu, saute and stir it into your ramen meal.

3. Stir in additional flavor, as you like. Although ramen has it's own sauce mix, a bit of sesame oil, red pepper flakes and soy sauce will add a great flavor to your ramen meal.
