Decorate A Buffet Table

If you are hosting a buffet, the food on the table is the most important aspect, but in order to make that food more appealing, you should decorate the buffet table. A well decorated table which draws the eye will also encourage your guests to partake of the food on it. By having a colorful buffet table, you can brighten the room where you are holding your celebration.

Instructions

1. Set up the buffet table as near the kitchen as possible. This will reduce the distance you will have to travel with hot food dishes.

2. Stretch out the table cloth and cover the buffet table with it.

3. Tape the table cloth in place on the underside of the table at all four corners. This will keep it from slipping when you set out the food.

4. Add the plastic table skirt to the front of the table and tape it in place to the tablecloth. This will prevent the guests from seeing under the table. It also adds a more finished look.

5. Tape one end of the crepe paper to the corner of the buffet table. Unroll the paper and gently twist the roll of paper three or four times around as you walk across the front of the table. Make a "U" shape with the twisted paper. Tape the other end to the middle of the buffet table. Continue to make a second "U" shape on the other half of the front of the table by unrolling and twisting the streamer paper. When you are done, you should have two concave curves of twisted crepe paper across the front of the buffet table.

6. Tape the silk flowers, balloons or other seasonal decorations where desired. In order to have the most room on the table top for dishes, you can tape these to the front of the table skirt.

7. Enjoy your celebration with an easy, brightly decorated buffet table.
