Do It Yourself Make A Fresh Fruit Centerpiece

You can give a fruit bouquet to someone who is allergic to flowers.

Sending fresh flowers to a friend lets her know that you are thinking of her and care about her. However, if your friend is allergic to flowers, the gift may not be as well received as you hoped. One solution is to make a fresh fruit centerpiece that can replace a floral centerpiece, which you can create using seasonal fruit and items that can be purchased at a florist's shop.

Instructions

1. Insert individual strawberries onto bamboo skewers. Leave the green base on each strawberry, and insert the skewer through the strawberry starting at the base and pushing halfway into the fruit. Repeat for each strawberry.

2. Insert individual grapes onto bamboo skewers. Select a single type of grape for a more uniform look, or choose multiple types of grapes for a more colorful look.

3. Cut watermelon into 1 inch thick slices, and press flower cookie cutters onto the slices. This will punch out fruit "flowers." Insert a skewer through the middle of each flower, and top each skewer with a grape.

4. Insert a block of florist foam into a decorative vase.

5. Insert the ends of the skewers into the florist foam inside of the vase. Arrange the fruit flowers as you prefer.

6. Cut a 2-inch wide ribbon to measure 18 inches long, and tie the ribbon into a bow around the vase to complete the fruit centerpiece.
