Instructions

Make a Cheese Roll

1. Grate both cheeses and put together in one bowl. Slice the onion, garlic and parsley into small pieces. Place in the bowl of cheese and then lightly mix together with your fingers.

2. Stir ½ cup corn starch and 1 tbsp. hot water together. Keep adding hot water until you have a thick paste. Next, set two paper towels on a plate to set the cooked cheese rolls on.

3. Put the egg roll wrappers on a plate. Rice paper can be used instead of egg roll wrappers. Turn the plate so one corner of the wrappers is facing you.

4. Take a small handful of the cheese mixture and set it on the wrapper, close to the corner facing you. The cheese filling needs to stop ½ inch away from the ends of the wrapper. You can put as much or as little cheese on the wrapper as you want.

5. Brush a little of the corn starch glue on the corner facing away from you. Fold the corner closest to you over the cheese filling and both ends over. Next, roll the wrapper to the other corner and gently press the corner down.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all the wrappers are stuffed and rolled. Place a damp towel over the cheese rolls to keep them from drying out. Next, fill a large pot less than half way with vegetable oil and heat at medium high.

7. Set two or three cheese rolls at a time in the hot oil. Let cook until each roll is golden brown all over. Take out of pan with a pair of tongs and place on the plate with the paper towels on it. Eat while still hot.
