Have A Fondue Party

Anyone can have a dinner party, but it takes an extra-special host to throw a fondue party. There is a little bit of preparation, a pinch of imagination a whole heaping cupful of fun. If you want to learn throw a fondue party that will have your friends talking about it for weeks, read on.


Instructions


1. Buy a fondue set. There are many different kinds available for purchase. You can choose one that is made of ceramic, metal or earthenware. The pot is heated with either a candle or other heating element. Most sets come with at least six fondue forks, and larger pots come equipped with more forks.


2. Set the guest list. This will rely on your space and the size of your fondue pot. Each person must have her own fondue fork; so keep your party list small. Send out invitations at least two weeks in advance so that everyone can plan accordingly.


3. Decide on what type of fondue you want to serve. You can choose from cheese, broth or chocolate. Many people choose to do either cheese or broth, followed up by a dessert course.


4. Find a recipe for whatever type of fondue courses you decide on. Gather together the ingredients to make a full batch of each.


5. Prepare the fondue. Thirty minutes before you guests arrive, create your fondue on the stove top and then transfer it to the fondue pot once it is heated through. You also need to cut and arrange your various dippers on trays for your guests at this time.


6. Enjoy your fondue party.
