Make Fudge From Cocoa Mix

Make Fudge From Cocoa Mix

Here is a great recipe for making fudge using cocoa mix.

Instructions

1. Put one cup of Hershey's instant cocoa mix, (you can use other brands, just make sure that it is sweetened) and 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 3/4 cups of milk and 1/4 cup of butter into a pan.

2. Put the heat on high and stir constantly until it comes to a boil. Do not walk away or stop stirring during this process or the fudge won't come out right.

3. Now you can turn down the heat to medium and keep stirring. Check the temperature with a thermometer. It needs to be 234 degrees before you can take it off the heat.

4. Set your pan to the back burner and let it cool. After about 15 minutes, using your thermometer check the temperature. It needs to be 110 degrees before going to the next step.

5. Once it is 110 degrees then start beating the mix. It'll be about 4-5 minutes before it is the right consistency. Then go ahead and add pecans and stir them in and pour everything into a 8 x 8 greased square pan.
