Make Shrimp With Garlic Cream Sauce

Garlic and shrimp is a winning dinner combination.

If you like shrimp, you will love this dish. It's easy to put together and only uses a few ingredients. The sauce features a fair amount of fresh garlic; if you don't care for a strong garlic taste, use a few fewer cloves and cook the garlic a bit longer in the butter.

Instructions

1. Mince the garlic cloves with a sharp knife on a cutting board. Holding the knife in one hand, lay the flat side of its blade against a clove on the board. Make a fist with your other hand and press it against the flat blade to gently crush the clove. Remove and discard the papery skin from the clove. Cut the garlic into pieces that are no bigger than 1/8th inch.

2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over a medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about a minute.

3. Add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about four or five minutes; the shrimp are done when they turn pink. Remove the shrimp and set them aside.

4. Add 1/3 cup of white wine to the skillet and bring to a boil on medium heat. Stir in 1/3 cup heavy cream. Return to a boil and allow to simmer for about a minute. Return shrimp to the pan to coat them in the sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve.
