Properly Store Cheesecake

Cheesecake stores readily in the refrigerator.

A delectable cheesecake, with its lightly sweet and creamy filling, makes a tempting dessert to enjoy at the conclusion of any meal. Whether you make your own cheesecake or you purchase one from a bakery or supermarket, storing it correctly is integral to ensuring it remains as fresh as possible. When you properly store cheesecake to ensure that the dairy filling stays fresh, it will stay tasty and flavorful for several days.

Instructions

1. Cool a warm cheesecake on the counter at room temperature for 30 minutes.

2. Transfer the slightly warm, uncovered cheesecake to the refrigerator. Refrigerate the cheesecake for approximately 2 hours.

3. Remove the cheesecake from the fridge and wrap it securely in plastic wrap. Alternately, place the cheesecake in a cake container and seal it.

4. Return the cheesecake to the refrigerator and store it there until you serve it. Store the cheesecake for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.

5. Remove the cheesecake from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before serving time to allow it to warm slightly. Serve the cheesecake.

6. Wrap up any uneaten portion of the dessert and return it to the refrigerator. Store the cheesecake in the refrigerator for as long as 5 days.
