Make Baked Macaroni & Cheese With Velveeta Cheese

This American classic is definitely a kid-pleaser.

For those who truly love macaroni and cheese, a store-bought box sometimes just doesn't cut it. This cheesy baked recipe, full of melted Velveeta, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, is easy and quick to make, yet full of that homemade taste that is perfect for a family dinner. You can sere baked macaroni and cheese alongside classic comfort foods such as meatloaf or fried chicken, or serve it as the main dish with vegetables.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Stir the elbow macaroni into a large pot of boiling water. Cut the Velveeta brick into 1-inch chunks.

2. Over low-medium heat, combine the butter, milk, Velveeta and 1 tsp. black pepper into a pot. Once melted, add 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese.

3. Strain the pasta and place it in a large, greased baking dish. Coat the macaroni with the melted cheese mixture and top with the remaining shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.

4. Season with black pepper and bake, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
