A tropical breakfast is a fun themed breakfast during the summer or when trying to beat the winter-time blues. A tropical breakfast has lots of fresh fruit, bright colors, and simple foods. You can even give tropical flair to regular dishes, like risotto, for breakfast food variety.
Instructions
1. Blend a cup of blueberries, bananas, strawberries and mango together in a blender. Add some to a small container of plain yogurt and mixed berry juice for tropical smoothies. Serve them in colorful cups with little umbrellas on top.
2. Grill some plantains on the grill for a hot, tropical fruit. Just take three to four plantains, slice them in half lengthwise and grill for 3 to 5 minutes over medium to high heat.
3. Make a tropical fruit salad with mango, papaya, bananas, pineapple, kiwi and grated coconut. Top it with the juice from a lime to add flavor and keep it from browning.
4. Cook a traditional risotto recipe with brown rice and add pineapple juice, raisins and flaked coconut before serving.
5. Garnish waffles or pancakes with fresh tropical fruit. Serve them with fancy mango or strawberry syrup.
6. Decorate the area with a tropical tablecloth, bright colors, palm trees and fresh tropical flowers, such as Hibiscus. Have special utensils and plates in either tropical colors or a tropical motif.
