Make Chicken Feet Dim Sum

Dim sum is a Chinese cuisine that is actually many types of small delicacies. Chicken feet dim sum, while not for everyone, are considered to be among the most flavorful dim sum. In addition, chicken feet are priced very reasonably, making them great for cooking on a budget.Follow these steps to prepare and enjoy chicken feet dim sum.


Instructions


Filling


1. Wash the chicken feet thoroughly and chop off the toenails. Cut the clean chicken feet into quarters.


2. Heat the canola or safflower oil to 350 degrees.


3. Roll the chicken feet with malt sugar and fry them until they turn golden brown, about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove them from the heat and drain the oil.


4. Boil the water in a large saucepan on high heat, and add the star anise, ginger and Chinese parsley. Add the chicken feet and bring the mixture to a boil again.


5. Lower the heat and simmer the chicken feet for about 90 minutes. Drain.


Chicken Feet Marinade


6. Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl.


7. Whisk the marinade thoroughly until well mixed.


8. Marinate the chicken feet for 24 hours.


9. Steam the chicken feet in the marinade for 15 minutes and serve. This recipe makes three servings.
