Make Italian Beef With Italian Dressing

Make Italian Beef with Italian Dressing

Italian beef is a popular dish that can be found at picnic lunches, family reunions and especially during summer get-togethers. There are a variety of ways you can prepare this yummy meal. The easiest way to cook Italian beef is in the crock-pot with just a bottle of Italian dressing. It is simple, but it is definitely very tasty.

Instructions

1. Unwrap your package of rump roast. Cut any extra fat off the meat. Season the meat with a sprinkle of pepper, garlic powder, and salt.

2. Place your meat in the crock-pot. Pour in 1 bottle of Italian dressing. Cover the remaining meat with water.

3. Set your crockpot on low and let the meat cook for 6 hours. Check it at this time. The meat will be done when it is tender and easily shreds apart. It can take up to 8 hours.

4. Remove your meat from the crock-pot, and place on a serving dish so that you can shred the meat apart. Shred all of the beef apart so that you can use it for sandwhiches.

5. Pour in about half a jar of banana peppers. You may add more if you would like. Dip some of the juice from the banana pepper jar and pour onto the meat. Then take some of the broth from the crock-pot and pour onto the meet so that it does not dry out. Stir the meat.

6. Empty the remaining broth from the crockpot. You may use bread or any type of bun to create your Italian Beef sandwhiches. Serve it with potato chips or your favorite potato salad.
