Garlic And Spinach Salad

Always wash vegetables before making the salad.

A garlic and spinach salad is a mildly spiced take on a traditional spinach-salad recipe. Combining crushed garlic with other salad ingredients coats everything in a mild flavor, which complements the fresh veggies. A homemade vinegar-based salad dressing combines with the garlic's flavor, adding an underlying tang to the salad. Making a garlic and spinach salad requires a few fresh ingredients from your local grocer and 15 minutes of spare time. The garlic and spinach salad recipe makes approximately 15 healthy servings.

Instructions

1. Combine 12 cups baby spinach leaves, 4 tablespoons crushed garlic, 3 cups sliced button mushrooms and 2 cups halved cherry tomatoes in a salad bowl. Stir the salad ingredients with a large spoon.

2. Pour 1/4 cup red wine vinegar, 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/8 cup lemon juice and 2 tablespoons ground black pepper in a jar or bottle. Seal and shake vigorously for 60 seconds to combine the ingredients of the salad dressing.

3. Drizzle the dressing over the top of the salad and toss gently to cover all ingredients.

4. Refrigerate for three hours before serving.
