Vodka Halloween Drinks

Halloween cocktails are often orange.

Halloween is just as much an adult holiday as it is for children. Halloween parties are great times to spice up those original cocktail drinks. Most party hosts include ingredients to darken the drink to get into the ghoulish spirit of the holiday. Hosts use ingredients such as dark grape juice or tomato juice that can make the drink dark or bloody red. Decorating the glasses with Halloween favorites also helps adults get into the swing of the holiday.

Blackberry Widow

This drink includes dark grape juice, sugar, ginger and vodka. Shake the ingredients in a shaker, then strain into a frosted martini glass. Add a black web and rubber spider to the martini glass. Garnish with frozen blackberries to add that spooky effect of spider's eggs.

Zombie

This cocktail does not need any extra Halloween glamor bits to dress it up. The ingredients include vodka, triple sec, dark rum, creme de almond, blood orange juice and sweet sour mix. Stir the ingredients in a hurricane glass. Dress the glass with a mummy rap to add that touch of Halloween spookiness.

Dirty Bloody Martini

This drink includes pepper vodka, dry vermouth, clamato juice, olives and olive juice. Shake all ingredients in a shaker over ice. Strain into a frosted martini glass. Dress the glass with extra fake blood running down the spine of the glass for the added touch of creepiness.

Satan's Whiskers

Combine vodka, sweet & dry vermouth, Grand Marnier, blood orange juice and bitters. Dip a martini glass into blackened sugar. Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Add a slice of blood orange for garnish.

Black Russian

A Black Russian is another original drink that you can dress up in a Halloween costume. Pour vodka and Kahlua over ice in an old-fashioned glass.

Black Cat

Pour vodka, cherry brandy, cranberry juice and cola over ice in a highball glass. Leave the glass in the freezer for a good frosting to give it a chilling effect. These are great drinks to be served with black cat cocktail napkins and garnished with Halloween stir sticks.

Smirnoff Ghost

On the whiter side, this great little cocktail combines a vanilla vodka, half-and-half cream, simple syrup and Godiva White Chocolate. Combine all the ingredients in a shaker and pour into a frosted martini glass. Garnish the glass with shaved curls of white chocolate.
