Set Up An Electric Fondue Pot

Electric fondue pots make fondue parties easier than ever. You don't have to mess with fuel or candles; you simply plug in the pot and start enjoying hot fondue right out of the gate. And you can set up an electric fondue pot quickly and easily.

Instructions

1. Get your workstation ready. Depending on the length of the cord, you may need to evaluate your serving options. Some fondue pots have short cords, so you need to set up near an outlet or have an extension cord on hand. Since this can be a hazard for party guests, your best bet is to set up your fondue spread on the countertop so that everything is within reach.

2. Prepare your dippers before setting up your electric fondue pot. The pot will heat up quickly, so have bread, veggies and meats already cut up into bite-sized pieces and ready to serve.

3. Set up the pot. Electric fondue pots consist of a stand, a pot and a cord. They will likely come with a set of fondue forks, but you may want to buy additional forks if you plan on having a lot of guests at your party. Plug one end of the cord into the pot, and then plug the other end into the wall. Set the temperature, and then give it a few minutes to warm up.

4. Fill the fondue pot with your favorite dip. Once the pot is warmed up, you can fill it with your favorite cheese fondue that you've warmed on the stovetop. Turn the heat down just a bit and stir the dip occasionally to make sure that it stays warm and doesn't crust over.
