Cook Great Bbq Chicken At Home

There is nothing more savory or traditionally American than serving up a delicious entree composed of succulent barbecued chicken breasts. Many people have the wrong impression about properly grill BBQ chicken at home. There are proper ways to go about preparing and marinating the meat that will yield you the most tender and sweetest-tasting BBQ chicken that you have ever eaten. These easy steps show you how.


Instructions


1. Get the ingredients. The local grocery store will have everything that you need. Look for a 30-minute mesquite marinade for the chicken.


2. Prepare the chicken. Place the chicken breasts in a 12 by 17 glass baking pan. Apply generous amounts of the mesquite marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.


3. Heat your oven on high-broil at 500 degrees for at least 10 minutes.


4. Broil the chicken evenly. Place the chicken, evenly spaced, on the broil pan and cook for 7 minutes per side.


5. Baste the chicken after it has cooked on each side for 7 minutes. Baste generously with BBQ sauce and cook for another minute.


6. Use your tongs to flip the chicken over on the broil pan. Baste generously with BBQ sauce and grill for an additional minute.


7. Remove from heat, allow the chicken about 5 minutes to cool and then serve with your favorites sides.
