Make Your Own Lofat Whipped Cream

Whipped cream makes a delicious topping for almost any type of dessert. It's great on ice cream, pies, pudding, and even Jello. You can buy it in the store, but choosing to make it yourself will ensure more flavor. If you want to make your whipped cream a little more healthy for you you can create a low-fat whipped cream.

Instructions

1. Set your bowl in the refrigerator 30-45 minutes before beginning the recipe so your bowl chills. Using a chilled bowl will help your whipped cream keep it's whipped shape.

2. Pour your light cream in to your mixing bowl and beat with a wire whisk. Be fast and keep at it until the whipped cream takes on it's usually fluffy form. Using light cream instead of heavy cream significantly cuts down on the fat.

3. Add your vanilla extract and sugar to the whipped cream and continue beating with the whisk. Do this until the whipped cream begins to form peaks.

4. Serve immediately on top of your desserts.
