Be careful not to overcook sirloin steak.
How you cook your steak is as vital as the choice in cut - no matter how great a cut of beef you have, it's wasted if it's not cooked properly. When it comes to sirloin steak, you can easily overcook it, which will result in a tough and unappetizing meal. To avoid this, marinade the sirloin steak using simple home ingredients in order to bring out the flavor and tenderness. Marinade recipes can make your sirloin tender and tastier.
Instructions
1. Mix the olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce and garlic powder together. Then add red wine, honey and a dash of lemon juice along with Dijon mustard. Stir all these ingredients well in a marinade container. Balsamic vinegar can be substituted with yellow vinegar.
2. Place your sirloin steak inside the marinade container and cover it in a sealed container or a plastic bag. Leave it in the refrigerator for at least six hours or overnight. All the flavors of your marinade will go into the steak.
3. Take the steak out of the bag and let the marinade steak warm to room temperature. Allow the excess of the marinade on the steak drip off from it.
4. Coat a heavy skillet with olive oil and heat it. Brown the sirloin steak on high heat and allow it to cook evenly for three to four minutes. Broil the sirloin steak by using the broil setting for a few minutes on one side and then on the other. Next, you can grill it over hot coals for about three minutes, by rotating it from side to side. You can bring the rest of the reserved marinade to boil and pour it over the sirloin steak just before you serve it.
