Send A Case Of Wine

Cases of wine are an excellent gift.

A case of wine is a package consisting of twelve traditional sized bottles, or six magnum bottles. They do not have to be the same brand or type of wine to be considered a case. You can order cases of wine from retailers and have them ship it to someone for you. Some retailers will even include a short gift note with your purchase.

Instructions

Purchasing the Wine

1. Call your local wine retailers and ask if they deliver. If the person to whom you want to send the wine lives in another town, do an Internet search for wine retailers in that area.

2. Visit the website of a wine delivery service online if the stores you speak with do not deliver. There is an example in the Resources section.

3. Select twelve bottles from the retailer's selection and click "Check-Out." Enter the delivery information of the person to whom you are sending the wine, including his name and address. Enter your credit card information to pay for the case.

4. Look for a spot on the ordering page where you can indicate that the order is a gift. Some companies will not include the invoice if the order is a gift, and some will even include a gift note. If you don't see a place where you can indicate the order is a gift, call the customer service number and ask if they can leave the invoice out of your shipment.
