Make Chicken And Wild Rice In The Crockpot

Crockpot meals are easy and provide a great meal for a busy family. Chicken and wild rice is a low calorie, low fat recipe that tastes good, too. For families that don't have the time to cook, the crockpot is a wonderful tool for providing healthy meals. The chicken and wild rice recipe is one of the most simple meals to make. Read on to learn how.

Instructions

1. Thaw the chicken before cooking it in the crock pot, to ensure it gets fully cooked. This can be done by moving the chicken from the freezer and putting it in the fridge overnight. Another option is to defrost the chicken in the microwave.

2. Put all the recipe ingredients in the crockpot. After adding the chicken breasts, the two cans of cream of celery soup, the cup of water and package of wild rice mix, stir well. Make sure the chicken is completely covered with the liquid and the spices are thoroughly mixed.

3. Turn on the crockpot and allow it to cook for four to six hours.

4. Stir it before serving it. After sitting all day, this serves to remix everything. Also, cut up the chicken into pieces if desired.

5. Add salt and pepper to taste. Everyone's tastes are different; so it's best to wait until everyone gets their own plate to season the food.
