Make Wine From Frozen Grape Juice Concentrate

A very simple alcoholic wine can be made from frozen grape juice concentrate. While the wine will not win any awards and be snubbed by wine connoisseurs, grape juice concentrate wine is an easy way to make a light wine at home. Grape juice concentrate is very inexpensive and can be purchased at any grocery store.

Instructions

1. Clean the jug or carboy with hot water.

2. Pour the four cans of grape juice concentrate into the carboy using a funnel.

3. Pour in enough water to make 3 1/2 gallons of grape juice/water mixture.

4. Measure 1/2 gallon of water into a large stockpot. Heat over low heat and add the 4 pounds of sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour this into the carboy.

5. Measure 3 tablespoons of sugar into a small bowl. Add 1 package of wine yeast. Add 1/4 cup hot water.

6. Pour the yeast mixture into the carboy after the mixture has become bubbly. This should take less than 10 minutes.

7. Secure the airlock and rubber stopper on the carboy. Set the carboy in a spot where it will not be disturbed and the temperature doesn't have a lot of fluctuation.

8. Allow the wine mixture to ferment for approximately one month. When the airlock no longer bubbles when the jug or carboy is tapped, the wine is done.
