Cook A Low Country Seafood Boil

The low country seafood boil comes from the coastline of South Carolina and Georgia. The dish is easy to cook because it only involves boiling a few ingredients together. Most of the ingredients, with the exception of the shrimp, don't require a precise cooking time. The most challenging part is straining the boil without splashing water on yourself. Seafood boils are famous for how spicy they are, and that heat can be adjusted to each cook's preference. The recipe takes approximately 35 minutes to cook.

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Put in the baby red potatoes, corn, sausage and shrimp boil. Stir the ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to a simmer.

2. Add sweet onions to the pot. Let the ingredients cook for 45 minutes. Set the corn and onions aside in a bowl.

3. Add shrimp to the pot and let them cook for five minutes. Stir the mixture.

4. Strain the ingredients. Peel the shrimp before eating.
