Reheat Shrimp Alfredo

Removing the shrimp from the rest of the dish ensures that it won't dry out.

The original Alfredo sauce, known as alla panna in Italy, contained only butter, cream and parmesan cheese. Today, you can find it with everything from hot sauce to cream cheese added. Regardless of the ingredients, when the sauce is combined with shrimp and pasta, it becomes shrimp Alfredo. Don't be afraid to make a large portion of shrimp Alfredo, as it is a dish that can be savored the next day by gently and carefully reheating it.

Instructions

1. Remove the shrimp from the rest of the dish. Place it in a bowl and set aside.

2. Pour 1/4 cup of cream into a small saucepan. Place it on the stove over low heat until the cream is warm.

3. Place the pasta and sauce in a saucepan. Gradually stir in the heated cream. Add just enough cream to make the sauce creamy again.

4. Drop the shrimp into the Alfredo sauce. Toss lightly with two forks until the shrimp are heated through, about two minutes.
