A plate of cooked potstickers.
Add a new side dish to your dinner repertoire with a package of frozen potstickers. While making potstickers from scratch requires you to individually fill and wrap each one, cooking frozen potstickers is nearly as simple as preparing spaghetti noodles. You can cook potstickers as a side dish with a stir-fry dinner or serve a batch of them as appetizers for a party or casual snack.
Instructions
1. Pour 2 tbsp. of vegetable or olive oil into a large frying pan.
2. Heat the pan over medium heat until the oil is hot. This should take approximately one to two minutes.
3. Add a single layer of potstickers to the frying pan. Try not to stack the potstickers in the pan or they may stick together.
4. Pour enough water into the pan to cover the bottom half of the potstickers. This could require 1/2 to 1 cup of water. Do not completely submerge the potstickers or they may become soggy.
5. Cover the frying pan and wait eight to 10 minutes for the potstickers to cook. If the water in the pan evaporates before eight minutes have passed, add more water to prevent the potstickers from burning.
6. Uncover the pan and carefully pour any remaining water into your sink.
7. Return the pan to the stove and cook the potstickers over medium heat, turning occasionally, until the exterior is golden brown.
