Pair shrimp Alfredo with a salad or fresh steamed vegetables for a well-rounded meal. This recipe makes four servings.
Instructions
1. Fill a stock pot halfway full of water. Bring the water to a boil and add fettucine noodles. Cook according to package directions, until they are al dente. Drain the noodles in a colander.
2. Take the shrimp out of the package and rinse them under cool water. Set aside.
3. To a sauce pan, add milk, butter, garlic powder and pinch of salt. Let the mixture come to a boil and then reduce the heat to medium-low. Once sauce is simmering, add the cheese. Stir frequently so the cheese does not clump at the bottom of the sauce pan.
4. Pour the shrimp into the sauce on the stove. Cook the shrimp in the sauce until they are opaque. Add the pasta to the sauce and shrimp and stir well. As you let the pasta cool, the sauce will thicken. Serve with parsley as a garnish.
