Stuff An Olive With Garlic

While olives have always been a treat to eat, recently they have gotten a whole new makeover. No longer just pitted and stuffed with pimento, they are stuffed with all kinds of foods. And if you've ever had a garlic stuffed olive in your martini, you know how good it can be. Follow this recipe to enjoy this treat.

Instructions

1. Purchase the biggest jar you can find of unpitted, large green Spanish olives. It will save you money and the larger size will make them easier to stuff.

2. Pit your olives. Place each olive between the olive pitter and squeeze. The pit will pop right out.

3. Peel the skin from the garlic cloves. Then slice the cloves into strips small enough to fit into your olives. Depending on the size of your olives, sometimes the entire clove will fit.

4. Stuff the garlic into the holes left in the olive by the pitter. The garlic should slide in with little effort.

5. Store the stuffed olives in the olive jar, so they can marinate in the olive juices. The olives will keep for 2 months.
