Make A Bee Catcher

Bee sting allergies can keep some people from going outside. Use soda pop bottles with a little bit of flat soda pop inside to make a bee trap. The sugar in the soda pop attracts the bees. Set the bottle by the trash can at a park or picnic. Change the bottle out every few days or when the soda pop is gone.

Instructions

1. Measure out one-fourth cup of soda pop and put it in a glass. Flat soda pop works well.

2. Use the marker to mark a ring around the bottle, about a fourth of the way down.

3. Lay the bottle on its side and cut along the line.

4. Stand the bottom piece up. Pour in the soda pop.

5. Set the top piece in the bottom one, upside down.

6. Put tape around the edge to hold the pieces in place.

7. Set outside.

Tips Warnings

Be careful with the knife. Have a firm grip on the bottom to prevent slipping while cutting.
